The SCI-6 design incorporates transformer isolation on both transmit and receive audio and the PTT is triggered with a built in optically isolated interface circuit. The SCI-6 requires no external power source and the custom enclosure is included with the kit.
The kit costs around $25 and includes everything except a cable for your rig. With a little time and soldering, this thing is an inexpensive ticket to operating digital modes.

Built this in an hour. The cords which connect directly to the board are a pain; imo they should have been connectorized. Still have to make the cables for the radio and the computer.
