Earn your first Ham Radio License the easy way with EmComm ECI and MAARC.

During our two-weekend accelerated course, you will learn everything necessary to become a licensed Amateur Radio operator.  There are no prerequisites, all persons age 13+ are welcome to join.

We are proud to partner with our friends at EmComm ECI to continue our series of free licensing courses this Fall.  If you are ready to meet the world on the air, we are ready to help you get there !

Friday October 5, 2018     6:30pm - 8:30pm (Kickoff Meeting)

Saturday October 6, 2018     9:00am - 6:00pm (Class Session 1 & 2 with lunch break)

Sunday October 7, 2018     2:00pm - 6:00pm (Class Session 3)

Saturday October 13, 2018     9:00am - 2:00pm (Review & Testing)

Cost:

The course is free, but you will need a copy of the textbook which costs $30.00.

ARRL Ham Radio License Manual, 4th Edition

If you need a book, contact us to reserve a seat in class and we will have a new copy waiting for you.  Pay for the textbook when you pick it up in class.  This is the easiest way to make sure you have the right materials, highly recommended.

Registration Deadline if you need a book is Thursday September 27, 2018 !

If you already have a copy of the text-- or would like to obtain one on your own-- no problem, that's fine.  This book is available on Amazon and R&L Electronics (links to order pages) in standard, spiral bound (link to R&L) and electronic Kindle formats.  R&L Electronics in nearby Hamilton, OH is our closest full service Amateur Radio shop.

There is also an FCC admin/filing fee of $15.00 required to take the exam on October 13.  You will pay the volunteer examination team directly when you take the exam.

So... Free Class + $30 book +$15 FCC Fee = $45.00.
