Our friends with the Henry County Amateur Radio Club, W9OB, will be on hand in April providing communications support for two events in the New Castle area.
They are looking for folks who would like to join the Amateur communications team working the events. MAARC members have been invited to join up, along with any other radio amateurs in the area. Volunteers do not need to be affiliated with any organization or club, you just need a valid Technician Class license and a portable or mobile rig that has 70cm.
The two events are:
New Castle Mini Marathon -- Saturday April 12, 2014
Walk for Fire Safety -- Saturday April 26, 2014
